A Very Merry Christmas!

Sitting and Standing

Well she isn't exactly sitting and standing on her own but its amazing to see how much stronger her little legs and back have gotten over the past few weeks.

WAR EAGLE!

Let me start by saying...WAR EAGLE! Jason and I had our first big outing without Kate Saturday. She stayed at the Brantley's and Jason and I went down to Auburn for the AU/AL game. We had a blast and of course it helped that we won!

Before we left we made sure that Kate had on her orange and blue!

A Day at the Park

Jason and I took Kate and Lucy to the park this weekend. Kate had fun but hands down Lucy had the best time.

Happy Turkey Day!

We spent Thanksgiving with Jason's parents yesterday. As always we had a great time and Kate got an early Christmas present...

...an exersaucer!! She is not quite sure what to do with all the fun toys yet, but she can sit up and stare at them all really well!
Here is Kate with Bubby and Toots - it is very special to me that she is able to spend time with her great-grandparents!
Kate was wiped out after all the festivities and snoozed on Bry's shoulder.

My cousin Kristin has really gotten into photography - she's got the backdrops and lights and everything. She graciously came over and set it all up and took pictures of Kate when she turned 3 months old. Below are just a few of my favorites (she took over 250 pictures so there are lots of cute ones!)

Okay, Okay

Very sorry for not posting anything in a while. Not too much is new with us. Life is running pretty smoothly now that Kate is getting a little older. However, our good friends Patrick and Noelle welcomed their first child into the world this Sunday - a little girl named Graham! We are so excited and thrilled for them.

It's hard to believe that Kate was once this small. Wow, they really grow fast!
Kate turned 3 months old on Monday - it is fun to see how much more coordinated she is becoming. She can bat at her toys and grab at them. Funny how its the small things in life right now that get us really excited!

Happy Wedding!

This past weekend Jason, Kate and I traveled up to Ashville, NC for my friend Shea's wedding. Shea is one of my best friends and its definitely a life long friendship. We had a blast at her wedding and it was fun to take Kate up there to meet everyone. Kate did really well traveling - we couldn't have asked for a better trip with a baby.

Shea looked absolutely beautiful! Since we were all dressed up we had to take a little family photo.
Shea's dad is an associate pastor at a HUGE church. We brought in the stroller to push Kate around for the wedding and reception!
Shea and Kate - it was fun for Shea to finally meet Kate. She was the first person besides Jason to know I was pregnant with Kate. She was passing through Birmingham on her way to visit family when I found out that I was pregnant and it was fun to have her there in person to be able to share the news with. Kate did have a small crying fit during the reception. Finally when I got Kate settled down she reached up and grabbed on to my necklace, but I wasn't about to upset her again so we walked around the reception like this for probably an hour!
