Shaping Up To Be a Big Week

We are home now and had a wonderful time at the beach. I posted some more pictures from our trip below. However, today as we were playing with Kate we noticed a little bit of white in her mouth. Her bottom tooth is about to poke through and make its debut. So while most babies are getting their first tooth around 5-6 months we will be almost 8 months before we get ours. And this week we definitely noticed Kate being more mobile and all over the place (rolling and turning and things) but today she is going from sitting into a crawling position and rocking. I don't know how long this stage will last but I know a lot of people say this is what happens first and then next thing you know they are on the move, so we will see.

Today was another beautiful day at the beach. This afternoon we drove over to San Destin to get some pictures of Kate and after lots of crying (not sure why) we did get some cute shots. Only problem was that she was more interested in the leaves and grass then us. The bottom pictures have great scenery but Kate would never give us a smile. Oh well.

I See a Sandbox In Our Future

We are at the beach this week and yesterday was very chilly but today was beautiful. We packed up a ton of toys and headed down to the beach. If only we had known that we just needed sand. Kate LOVES the sand. We could barely get her to look at the camera because she was so enthralled with all the sand around her. When we would put her on the towel to play she would maneuver herself onto her belly and then try to scoot towards the sand. Jason and I laughed and said that she would probably be crawling before we left because she wanted to get to the sand that bad. The only bad part was trying to clean all the sand out of the rolls on her legs!!

First Trip to the Beach

Our Little Easter Bunny

We had a wonderful Easter and we spent it with both sets of grandparents!! Kate got some bunny ears and seriously, is she just not so cute?
It is a whole new world when Jason has Kate! She has a nice view from above when daddy is holding her and playing with her.
Mommy...the Easter Bunny? Yes, that is correct. I dressed up as the Easter Bunny Saturday for a friends, little boy's birthday party. Below is a family picture!

Happy Hunting

All my girlfriends and their kids got together today for an Easter Egg Hunt. I forget that toddlers can't hunt easter eggs like adults. Eggs were scattered all over the yard and the kids still had a hard time finding them!! But we had a great time and got some cute pictures! (and yes, I made Kate's outfit!)

Swinging at the Park

We went walking today and ended up at the park. It was Kate's first time to be in a swing and she loved it. You would never be able to tell by this sweet face that she was up all night last night - grrrr...I really hope its just teething.

Rolling Over - back to front

I have been waiting patiently for Kate to roll from her back to her front. She has been very close but just couldn't seem to get one arm out of the way. Well, this morning I saw her reaching for a toy like she normally does and then she just rolled right on over like she has been doing it forever. I was so excited and got Jason up and then Kate rolled over again and Jason made this comment: "Laura, I have seen her do that tons of times." I couldn't believe he had seen her do this and hadn't told me, but I guess boys don't have a clue about these huge milestones in a babies life!

Back in Business

I went and got what I needed to download pictures again so we are back in business. Here is what we have been up to....

We obviously have not been missing any meals! Look at all those rolls!

I think Lucy might be feeling a little neglected. She needed a little attention the other night.
We have had some beautiful days and Kate is completely content to sit outside and watch me throw the ball with Lucy.

Broken Camera

So I think I just broke my camera. I mean it still takes pictures, but while I was trying to upload some pictures I dropped it and now the connection to the computer doesn't work. Luckily my brother told me about a cheap option on how to fix this situation but it may be a few days. So check back later because the pictures I was going to share are really great!!
